Clyde Hopper is a pint sized suburban adventure first person game. Set in a semi-rural backyard of the Whistler family…Francine(mom), Robert(dad), Tommy(son), Shelly(daughter), Sissy(dog) and Hissy(cat)…Aunt Verna is always criticizing Robert, bossing Francine and meddling in the family’s business. She has insisted that the family pave their beloved backyard and has already hired a crew to come to the Whistler home in 2 days to begin cutting down trees and start to clear the land for paving. The family stands out back, enjoying their backyard the way it is. They don’t want it changed but Aunt Verna co-signed on the mortgage and Robert and Francine have a difficult time saying “no” and standing up to her. The backyard is filled with trees, big and small and full of life of all sorts such as squirrels, birds, spiders, insects and grasshoppers.
Clyde Hopper, a charismatic grasshopper who is somewhat of a star among the creatures of the backyard, learns of Verna’s plans through Sissy and Hissy. With all of the trees, bushes, the pond and the grasses serving as home to an entire population of critters, Clyde must gather the backyard creatures to battle for their land.
The level setting is outside the fenced and familiar backyard of the Whistler home. Clyde must get back over into the yard.

The game is built using the Unreal Engine 3. It is a non-violent, first person adventure game that will be available for free download and play at FilePlanet, and the MSUC, which is Epic Games' Unreal contest website that also has many other fun game mods created by talented people available to download and play in conjunction with your copy of Unreal Tournament 3.
Clyde Hopper: Outlands got a mention in the October issue of Total PC Gaming magazine! Clyde isn't done yet, there will be more of Clyde Hopper next year(2010).

To play the demo, unzip to your Unreal Tournament 3 "Published" folder to "CookedPC" to "Custom Maps". The Outlands is a Warfare selection. Set your Warfare game Settings to a time limit of "0". Thanks for checking out Clyde Hopper!
